Hamburg (August 24, 2022) – An exciting line-up of musicians take the stage at Knust tonight: Sandhy Sondoro (Jakarta/Berlin) and Yonatan Pandelaki (Kiel), two outstanding Indonesian musicians, are joining forces this week, playing together for the first time at the live venue Knust in Hamburg, and later this week in Kiel at the Bootshafenfesitval.
Singer-songwriter Sandhy Sondoro is famous globally after winning the International Contest of Young Pop Singer New Wave in 2009. He started his career in Germany and is now filling stadiums in Indonesia. Blending soul with jazz and pop, Sandy performs original music along with classic covers.
Yonatan Pandelaki, a multitalented musician, director of a music school, YP Studio Brunswik in Kiel, who has already sung in German musicals. He will play with his rock band Sons & Preachers, which he founded in 2018. Vintage sound paired with a modern approach is their motto. Clear blues-based rock with lots of funk and soul influences.
Yonatan Pandelaki said: “I’m looking forward to the Knust concert with Sandhy Sondoro as a special guest. Sandhy is a great role model for me. Although he has achieved everything possible, he is still down to earth. This will be a great evening that no one should miss.”

Claudia Siregar, initiator of artSEAn.com an art-, creative-, and musicpreneur community to promote Indonesian artists, says: “After these COVID years, it’s really great to see all the musicians playing together. I am especially happy that Sandhy and Yonatan have chosen Hamburg St. Pauli for their first musical encounter. Because of the history of the district for the Indonesian community in Germany and Europe, tonight is a very special one. At the same time, it is the best performance I could wish for our platform. Music brings people together and builds bridges. In today’s world, this is even more important than ever before. Together with Indonesian artists and musicians, I would like to set an example, in Germany and across Europe. Who knows where this will lead to.”
Talks are already taking place for performances in other cities in Germany and the Netherlands. Contact: Claudia Siregar, welinku 21; Claudia.Siregar(at)welinku21.com
